I used to clean houses and was asked to do a fridge cleaning. I assumed it meant organize and scrub the inside of the fridge. Reading this makes me wonder if it was a mistake to throw out all of their outdated food. They never said anything, but I filled the trash can with a lot of cheese and salad dressings.

Carolyn — Oh, boy, do I ever! Cheese is like a drug in our house. We’re almost done with the smoked gouda I had to buy after I ran out of Carla’s. It’s not as good, sadly.

Lucero — I ran out of all the cheese, so I had to actually buy some at the store. Oh, the humanity! God myself another helping of gouda. Haven’t tried it yet. I doubt it’ll be as good as what Carla sent me. Sigh.

I would have to say that dairy, cheese in particular, is the most widely consumed protein in our house. Cheese for breakfast with toast, snack on cheese, cheese sandwiches or quesadillas for lunch, cheese sauce on pasta, cheese in soup, on soup, on salad, etc., etc. And we aren’t one cheese mice either – we like it all except for maybe limburger. We actually have to go shopping this weekend and get more cheese so any mystery boxes of yummy cheese would be very welcome on my doorstep .

brooke — Sad to say, it didn’t matter anyway. The party never happened because we gave away some of the cheese and ate most of the rest. That’s interesting about how you don’t like fresh mozzarella. I didn’t care for the Brie because it was too salty. But I did enjoy most of the rest. Mmmmm.

Stephanie C — Oh, aren’t you sweet! I always thought I could write a book in my spare time, but then I realized I had none. I don’t know that I’m prepared to take a blogging break. Just writing that sends me into fits. I need an intervention.

Holly — I love cheese on top of other things as well. Like bacon, cheese makes everything else better!

Carol — It was unbelievably awesome what Carla did for me. And, for the record, there was no party. We gave away some of the cheese to my family and ate most of the rest. There’s only a little left of the sliced Edam and the whole package of bleu. We made quick work of it!
