Shinade -- Yummers! Man, it's nighttime now, but I could so go for breakfast. And I'd dump maple syrup all over that!

Swubird -- I love The Red Bacon! They needed scarves, though, didn't they? Hey, hope your trip to Vegas was fun. Wanna hear all about it.

Catherinette Singleton -- Like I haven't done that already. Yes, very disappointing. Too dusty and not enough grease.

Chris Casey -- I feel bad for you. To smell it, and not eat it? Man, that takes a skill.

MA Fat Woman -- Catchy tune!

Bruce -- Nope. Real bonafide bacon. We nuked it first inside paper towels, which soaked up a lot of grease then transferred it to another paper towel for the photo shoot.

meleah rebeccah -- I think bacon cures the common cold, or the flu. I'm sorry to read on your blog that you're sick. Must have been all that fun you had on vacation catching up with you.

Lord Likely -- I once had "real" bacon, home-processed. Right off the pig. Verdict? Disgusting. Give me highly-processed bacon any day. OINK!

Maureen -- I got over that long ago. Well, I can't eat a fish that still has its head on, so I guess I have limits.

Shieldmaiden96 -- From the Davemeister: "OMG. OK. Here goes. Two bags of white bread torn into small pieces and air dried for 3 days. 11-12 cooked potatoes, diced. Mix bread and taters. Dice 3 medium onions. Cook them in sauce pan with generous helping of butter (do not burn). Pour over mixture and combine. Add two or three eggs. Two or three tablespoons oregano. A little heavy cream. BACON to suit you."

I know that's not very specific. He goes by eye. Throw it all in a bunch of casserole dishes and bake at 325 for 20-30 minutes. Remove the lids and let cook for another 10 minutes so the top crusts up real nice. Obviously, we are not chefs. Hope that's helpful enough.

Hannah -- I'm laughing because my little display looks elementary-level, does it not?

Kelly -- I'm lucky because I've got my husband looking for these things, too. He only thinks I'm slightly nuts.

Jenn Thorson -- Oh, man. Thank you for thinking of me and having a helping on my behalf. That means a lot to me.

Eduardo -- I love you already! You're very cute and I like how I have to send you "pee mail" if I want to get in touch with you.

Preston -- OK. That sounds terribly disgusting, but I'll take your word for it. It's not the first time I've heard that combination, but I have no desire to try it. Probably because I've never even had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich before. Bacon and PB? My head might explode.

Bacon Lovin' Trade Show Steve -- You're right. It's not quite the same. Neither is turkey bacon. Not fatty enough. We have our standards!
