So How Many Eggs Were There?

Jodith of Administrative Arts guessed correctly that there were exactly 252 "Robin’s Eggs" in the container.
There aren’t that many now, though. Despite deciding they tasted gross, my husband Dave and I kept eating them. What is wrong with us? Don’t answer that.
For guessing correctly, Jodith will receive a Junk Drawer magnet and a small bag of non-funky Robin’s Eggs.

Not that I don’t have absolute trust in our Kathy….but….do we have audited results of the counting? Or must we depend solely on the opinion of our Kathy for this? I’m just asking.
After all, there were counting errors in Florida in 2000 and in Ohio in 2004.

EVERYONE: Since David asked, here’s the official count sheet. I counted 130, my husband counted 121. You’ll see those don’t add up, but that’s because we added one later. An egg fell out of the bag on the way to the trash, rolled on the floor and was put in the jar. And one of us probably ate it. (Five second rule!)
Oh, and Daisy, yeah. Didn’t you guess in the millions? Keep practicing counting your numbers and you’ll do better next time.

I would have had to use a container with a lockable lid to run this contest. I love those little robin eggs a little too much. Thank goodness they are only out a little each year.

I just heard about a berry called Miracle Fruit that changes the way sour/acid-y foods taste. Eat the berry first, then eat something else, like gross Robin’s eggs. The change lasts about an hour, so I’ve read.
Imagine the possibilities! Healthful and otherwise.
Maybe JD and Kathy can collaborate on this experiment.

Ah, Easter. Is there any other season where “Good Lord, why am I eating this?” crosses one’s mind more frequently?
(Don’t say Halloween; if you end up with bad candy you either don’t shop well or you lack the skill of effective bartering with the crumbsnatchers in your house. My dad always exacted a tithe of my candy because the ‘wrappers were loose’.)

LOVE your blog.. but I am horrible at guessing games. I do, however, have a fridge in the garage full of dyed eggs (gag-o-rama). I plan on making the world’s largest batch of egg salad and serving it to EV-ERY-ONE.
The upside is our kiddos (4 1/2 year old twins-fost/adopt) had never ever ever done Easter eggs and it was so worth every gagging moment. :o)
