What’s That Wednesday
contests April 29th, 2009Yeah, where I live there’s five more hours left of Wednesday. So this counts.
How to play:
1. The photo shows a small portion of a larger object.
2. First person to guess the object it’s a part of wins a Junk Drawer magnet and a mystery prize that may or may not be bacon-related.
Go!
What’s that?
Stumble it!

I know this one! It’s the end of a plastic garden irrigation spike for drip irrigation systems. My dog chews through four of these a week.

hmmmm. Really?
Looks like the end of my whirly. Is that what it is called? No! It is called a “Whirly Gig.” It is yard art – put in the yard to catch the wind and the good vibrations …
I hope I win!

Oooh. The first one is a good one. But I’ll guess mine anyway: the end of a fancy L bracket. Now that I write that I know it totally doesn’t make any sense b/c there’s no screw at the end, but oh well.

I think is the tip of the stake for the lamps that line driveways, pathways and garden beds. I have some that are electric and solar!

everyone else is focusing on the pointy thing, which only takes up like ten percent of the picture. the main photograph is of a computer desk. magnet me.
April 29th, 2009 at 7:46 pm
I think it’s one of those things that says what type of plant it is at the store. Like the type of flower is on the top, then you stick that on the bottom.
And I think it will be bacon related because you should know better than to get our hopes up about bacon, right?

Yah know I think it’s a tent spike thingy. Something that you make the boy scouts hammer in to make the tent stay up (what? I’m the only one that had to take the cub scouts camping, wore heels and made them pitch the tent while I tried to figure out HOW a campfire coffee pot works?)
Aside from that, I’m gonna say it’s the thing I stuck into the 8 foot rat snake’s hole that comes out and suns himself in my garden, since it’s what it looks like I used.

The pointy end of a garden hose guider. we bought my mom a bunch for mother’s day one year because she complained that the hose would go into the flower beds. then my dad almost ran a few over with the lawn mower and i haven’t seen them since.

Hi Kathy,
Ugghhhh… too late to the party as usual.
I was going to say the business end of a plastic stake that goes in the ground, most likely for a solar light..
But since that’s taken, I will say the front end of the Klingon BattleCruiser in the new Star Trek movie (the low budget homemade one I put on youtube, not the one in a movie theater near you… do you think I’ll get an Oscar?). Steve, the trade show guru
