I would totally get lost in Chicago. Whenever I go to a new city I always take a compass. Sad, I know, with GPS in everybody’s phone these days. Well, everybody’s phone but mine. I’m too old school to have a fancy phone with GPS.

Don’t make assumptions about people. I’ve never, ever worn heels for 14 hours straight. Ok, maybe 12 hours straight, although “straight” might be a little misleading. And it wasn’t entirely my fault. David Carradine said it would be fun, and I just went along to get along. Never again.

I love Tim Gunn! Between your description and Margaret’s, I thought, how can I join this group?

So I went to the site and signed up but I’m not sure BlogHer can find a way to shoe horn my blog in with the smart, elegant ones that belong there.

But even if I don’t get in, you and Margaret have got to come hang out with me in New York next year. Maybe you guys can sneak me in and class me up a little.

I think it would be fun to all meet somewhere and go up on the TRAIN.
I have to make an alternate footwear suggestion though; flip flops hurt as much as anything else after walking around a conference, since its basically indoor-outdoor carpet over concrete. Good sneakers. Or similar something with cushy bottoms. Probably crepe-soled slip-ons that make you look like that seventh grade teacher with the Peppermint Patty Football-Bangs that everyone wondered about who seemed to have cornered the market on three-piece polyester pantsuits 12 years after they disappeared from retail availability, but still. Its all about teh comforts.

This is hella random, but I’m running on 131 minutes of sleep.

Then I suppose I really shouldn’t mention that my immediate interpretation of his comment was “Make it wank!!” because that would reveal how out of touch I really am. Wait… I think I just did.

What’s sad is that I was proud of myself for figuring out that is was “wonk” and not “wank.” Oh well.

I am glad you had a great time. The last time I went to Chicago, it was for a frog exhibit! Yes, frog after frog at the Shedd aquarium. I had the mug at one time to prove it. I know you are all very jealous that you missed it.
