contests November 25th, 2009Hey! For all my friends who aren’t busy preparing for their Thanksgiving tomorrow, here’s a What’s That? item to mull over.
How to play:
1. The photo shows a small portion of a larger object.
2. First person to guess the object it’s a part of wins a Junk Drawer magnet and a mystery prize.
I may not get to pop in and see your guesses much tomorrow, as I will be busy shoveling turkey, fixins and pie in my face for most of the day.

I’m pretty sure it’s a “unit clamp,” which was a medieval birth control device. Which of course explains why birth control during the dark ages was not very successful.

My first thought was a garlic press, but the more I looked at it, the less it looked like one.
My next thought was a tool to put rivets or snaps or rhinestones on fabric.
Then again, maybe it’s a tool to crimp paper.
I can hardly wait to find out it’s something totally different than any of my guesses.

I haven’t the slightest.
However, it looks like it’s on a piece of leather ie: a couch or chair. Sooooooooo. It’s a handle or some sort.
Something that wudn’t make your chair/couch all dirty…

That’s a Garlic Press or a Butter Holder. both use the same handle type. it could also be a fancy lemon press.
