Some of you have great memories... Wow. I'm having a hard time with my first memory. One thing I remember so clearly for some reason is, when I was about 3 years old, my grandpa just got this new car and it talked. I remember being blown away and always wanted to ride around with Grandpa because his car talked... haha. I think it was just simple things like "door ajar" and stuff like that but at 3 years old, pretty cool. Heck, if my car now said that I would still probably get pretty excited =)

My earliest memory is of standing in my crib and looking at something hanging on the door--we moved out of that apartment right around my first birthday. I also have clear memories of our next apartment, where we lived for less than a year before relocating to another city. I remember dropping my mother's roller picks through the floor grates when I was about 18 months old, and once in my 20s I walked into a room with my mother and said, "We had this tile in the kitchen somewhere that we lived." She looked at it for a long time and then said, "You're right, but we moved out of that apartment when you were 22 months old." Odd things to stick, but they're crystal clear.

My first memory: I was in my crib and my mom brought me the bestest sweetest bottle of milk I ever tasted! I could not speak at that time, but I remember Mom telling her sis (My Aunt Helen) "he really likes it" and Aunt Helen saying "I told ya - that Karo Syrup is better than sugar."

Earliest memory for me is kind of cheesy. I was 3 years old, and my brother was still a baby, just big enough to sit up and crawl. We were sitting in the living room together, and watching Bugs Bunny on the old black and white TV, while Dad was working in the home office behind us. I can even remember the episode to this day. Poor Elmer Fudd!

I'm not sure which one is earliest, but I have a couple that had to take place when I was 2 years old. One is of my Dad trimming a rose bush in front, and off to the side was a hole I dug with a spade (I always dug holes as a kid - Nintendo has nothing on good hole digging). I also remember crossing the road to a garden across the road (we were in the Appalachians in Pennslyvania). I also remember my parents telling me there were monsters in the upstairs closet, and not to open the door or they would get out. The closet door was at the top of steep steps, so they were doing it to keep me from opening the door, but talk about childhood trauma!
