I make sure i never nap and always make sure i get up early. I used to have trouble sleeping, think it was because i drank to much coffee! But i don’t drink it anymore and stick to a routine and it helps me sleep!

The sleep rhythm is a 80-110 minutes cycle. If you sleep for the full cycle you experience all stages of sleep. If you wake up during it, you’re likely to wake up in the later parts, which is deep and confusing sleep. For a nap to be consistently effective rather than “fuzzying” you must either know the exact length of your cycle, or keep the nap to less than half an hour.

I am blind as a bat and I take my glasses off at the computer and go to bed. When I get up (because I can’t see any of the 5 clocks in my bedroom, no lie) I click my computer and squint at the time.

Then I put my glasses on and go get coffee, or don’t and stumble back to bed. My clock graciously tells me AM or PM (and it doesn’t matter anyway, I work from home and have nothing to do but work, sew or sleep) and I can wake up…or not.

Today, I have a date and I already need a nap, so it will probably make a difference then. Might not, never can tell with me.

That’s really bad, reminds me of when I came back from a trip abroad with my parents, I’d been so ill I was totally out of it, for a few months after we came back I was wondering why all the magazines in the Doctors office where printed as if they had the next year’s date on them… I realized later it was because it was the next year!

My goodness I love naps! I do have the nasty habit though, that when my fiancé would wake me, I’d sort of start and look around wildly like a goosed cat. ^-^ Not now, though, because he gently pats my head until I wake up, and so I wake up like a happy kitty. ^-^

I have done that so many times it is scary. What’s just as bad is when you jump in the shower because you think you’re running late, get out, start putting on your business clothes, and realize sometime around the rushed makeup job that it’s nighttime or the weekend. Then all you can do is crawl back under the covers and hope no one noticed.

‘Forty winks’ as my mum and dad called it, is the best type of napping. Short and light sleep, sitting up on the sofa. You wake up refreshed. Laying down to nap is just asking for trouble

I did something similar once. It was evening when I woke up but I thought it was morning. I started going through my morning routine. I took a shower and was halfway through shaving when I figured it out. Just glad I didn’t go to work, I would have had a long wait for them to open the doors.

It happened to me too when I woke up I thought its already morning, whats funny is I rushed into the bathroom to take a shower. Just got lucky that I notice the time before I change to my office uniform.

wow this is great Kathy ,you are going through this.really you need little vacation really and you should rest dear with heavy sleeping really its very hilarious i faced that situation dear that’s y i can understand that really its so important for you plz tack a proper rest and sleep.
