The economic downturn hits hard at Plymouth Yarn Company. Two different babies cost more to model sweaters than one. But it’s all good. The lad can use his earnings to pay for therapy in 20 years.

Pink isn’t going to hurt him any. Nor will blue hurt her if the baby is a girl. And yes, I think they used the same baby in both pictures.

Well the baby sure looks happier in pink. In blue he is clearly looking at his parent thinking, “Seriously? Blue? We’ve been over this.” But in pink she is smiling at the photographer like, “Do ya see the difference?! Why did ja let’m put me in blue in the first place? Sheesh.” So I’m going to have to assume girl with this one.

Of course it’s not the same baby! The one on the left is obviously looking to his right, and everyone knows only boy babies look to their right! You’ll notice the girl baby is looking straight ahead but yet her head is tilted to her right. Again, only girls can pull off that “I’m looking straight at you but my head is tilted in a mildly flirtatious manner because I am too cute for words”.
Ok, they are totally the same baby.

Two different babies – the baby in blue will one day get jealous of the other and run their mother through with a pike. Pink, having had quite enough, will bash blue on the head, then throw it in a river. Blue will then return as a twisting column of yarn that goes about whispering in the jungle and randomly killing innocent bystanders.

Yep. Same baby. I worked for a parenting magazine and they used the same baby on several covers. Thought no one would notice if one of the covers was black and white. But the baby puke on the onesie gave it away. Kidding. They also reused the editorial. Not kidding.

Wait just a minute here! How come everyone is assuming this is a BOY baby? I say it is a girl baby… and she will STILL need therapy.
P.S. I refer to babies as “it” instead of he or she if I don’t know their gender. That way the parents are insulted no matter what.

That’s some pretty damning evidence. The American judges deem that the same baby. Although, the American judges also throw out snaps to the advertising director who saved the company a second modeling fee.

He’ll probably sue the company years from now. My niece was once in a catalog, modeling a baby outfit… but at least it was a non-committal yellow.

As for the photos, yes, same baby, but kudos to the photographer for the deception. Because we all know boys are serious, and girls are frivolous and flirty.

I’d like to think it’s the same kid. But whether it’s a boy or girl, I’m not entirely sure. My guess would have to be that it’s a GIRL. She looked entirely happy to be modelling a pink cardigan! And she’s just adorable!
The person who thought of using one model instead of two was brilliant!

Hmm. My first thought was twins, because I know in most movies and TV shows they use twins because of the strict laws about how long babies can “work”. Perhaps they do the same in modeling.

Same. You’d think they’d at least change the part in the baby’s hair or put a little bow in the “girl” photo. Altho I guess we should be grateful on behalf of the little boy that they didn’t do that.

Did you know that in medieval times, boys used to be dressed in pink and girls wore blue. Look it up…it’s true!
